I am back again with another great skincare product, the Gallinée La Culture Hydrating Face Cream*. I have been really into my skincare recently, so it has been fun trying out lots of new products. Especially as I come to the end of some favourites.
The moisturiser is supposed to be for both morning and evening, so I was a little surprised when I first used it finding that it was quite a light, creamy texture. I much prefer using something a little thicker at night as it feels more moisturising. But I couldn’t have been more wrong with this one. It is probably one of the most hydrating facial moisturisers I have ever used. I used to get lots of dry patches on my skin, but with this one I haven’t experienced any. Even when I have had a horrible spot, it has kept the surrounding area of skin really moisturised so my foundation doesn’t sit on it horrible. Like honestly, this is such a hydrating cream and it works great as a primer before makeup in the mornings too.
It is said that this cream can increase the hydration levels of the skin’s upper layers by 55% in just 4 hours, which is obviously quite a bold claim! I am not sure if I can say if I have noticed it in 4 hours, but I have been testing this face cream for around 4 weeks now and I have definitely noticed an improvement in my skins hydration.
With a 98% natural formula, the moisturiser helps maintain your skins pH while also using prebiotics, probiotics and post biotics to help keep your skins ecosystem protected in a gentle way. I have to admit, this moisturiser is very gentle on my skin and I have really enjoyed using it!
The scent of this really reminds me of the REN Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask. I’m not quite sure how to describe it but it definitely has its similarities. Either way it is neither pleasant nor unpleasant.
The only downside of this is that I feel the tube is quite small! It’s only 30ml, and for £35, I wish you got a little bit more! But to be honest, it is that good that I would probably just buy it again anyway! If you are interested in trying out the Gallinée La Culture Hydrating Face Cream, you can buy it over at Look Fantastic.
