Products for a Low Maintenance Beauty Routine

Low Maintenance Beauty ProductsRegardless of the fact that I am a beauty blogger, there are times when I get lazy. In these times I can’t be bothered do go into a full on hardcore beauty routine. Instead, I reach for my low maintenance beauty products to help get me through the day looking presentable…

When you want a quick glow…

Admittedly when I bought this from the body shop, I didn’t have a clue what this was. I just saw the word glow and was like yep, that is going in my basket. I assumed it was a face cream of some sort, maybe like a moisturiser. But actually, The Body Shop Vitamin C Instant Glow Enhancer isn’t a moisturiser at all. It is a cream but a tinted lightweight cream with the aim of brightening dull, tired and grumpy skin. I.e. my skin.

The Body Shop Vitamin C Glow Creme Swatch

I just put a small blob on the back of my hand and rub it into my face after moisturising. It sort of acts like a primer before I put my makeup on (although I do sometimes put a bit of primer on before this if I am wearing a full face of makeup).

When you cba to moisturise…

Rodial Dragon's Blood Hyaluronic Tonic

The Rodial Dragon’s Blood Hyaluronic Tonic is a life saver for this. Sometimes you can’t be bothered to put on moisturiser and wait for it to sink it. Or in my case, I’ve gotten into bed and can’t be bothered to get out again when I’ve forgotten to moisturise. Thankfully I keep this on my bedside table for those occasions. I just give my face a quick spritz and it offers all the hydration I need. It is the perfect spray for when your skin just needs a quick hydration hit, but you don’t have time for a full-on facial. On weekends when I’m not going out, I tend not to wear makeup so I will take this around the house with me and give myself a quick spritz here and there. It is so refreshing!

When blow drying your hair is out of the question…

Bumble and Bumble Don't Blow It Hair Creme

Blow-drying hair can be such a chore. For me, I usually just do it when I know I have a meeting the next day and need to look presentable, but other than that I tend to just let my hair dry naturally. Thankfully I was introduced to the Bumble and Bumble Don’t Blow It Hair Styler* to help with that. A product “for great hair days without the heat or hassle“. Basically a godsend.

When I get out of the shower, I towel dry my hair to get most of the water out and then I run some of this creme through it. It has a really lightweight texture to it so it works through my hair really easily. I then like to scrunch up sections of my hair with my hands to give it a bit of texture and help define some of my curls. I have a couple of people compliment my hair, asking if I had curled it but in fact, I had just been using this! This is definitely one of my favourite low maintenance beauty products.

When you run out of time to wash your hair…

Colab Tropical Dry Shampoo

I know that this product will be top of everyone’s list for a low maintenance beauty routine! The Colab Dry Shampoo is my all-time favourite dry shampoo. You have probably already heard me raving about it in previous haircare blog posts! It has a sheer invisible formula that leaves you without any powdery white areas in your hair, which is what I love most about it. There is nothing worse that covering your head in dry shampoo, only to get to work and realise you are coated in a lovely white powder… gross!

I’m actually trying out the tropical scented dry shampoo at the moment, but there are so many others that I would recommend. London and Tokyo are both great fragrances as well. Basically just try them all out. I promise you won’t be left disappointed!
