With festival season well and truly upon us, it is time to get out the glitter and start prepping your bright and bold makeup looks. essence cosmetics have the perfect range of products to help you get festival ready, so I thought I would put together a look with a few of their products!
Starting with the eyes. I put on a little purple eyeshadow and got them lined up with some black liquid eyeliner. I then went on to use the essence Kajal Pencil in shade 25 Feel the Mari-Time*. It is this gorgeous bright blue-y teal that works perfectly with blue eyes, as it really makes them stand out! I then used the essence all eyes on me waterproof mascara* to finish off my eyes. I think waterproof mascara is an absolute must-have for festivals as you never know what the weather is going to be like!
Getting that glow is always top of my list for any makeup look, so when I saw the prismatic rainbow glow highlighter*, I feel in love. I mean just look at it! What a wonderful creation! Each of the shades gives a really subtle colour but still gives that all important glow. You can either swipe your brush across them all to get a complete rainbow glow or go for one colour to emphasise your look. For this festival look, I went for a mix of the yellow and blue as I thought it would look good alongside the eye makeup. I also added a bit of the glowy bronze shade on my cupids bow, browbones and the hollows of my cheeks. I mean, you can never have too much glow, right?!
To finish off my face I went for the shine shine shine wet look lipgloss in shade 12 runway*, your way. This is a beautiful berry purple shade, that is super bold! I think bold is better at festivals so it works well for the look! For a high-shine lipgloss, this isn’t really sticky. With my long hair, there is nothing worse than getting it all stuck to your lipgloss! What’s more, it smells and tastes like blueberries – winner!
Finally, you can’t forget about nails! Following the purple lips, I went for the gel nail polish in shade 95 vibrant purple. It isn’t an exact match to the lipgloss shade as it is a little lighter, but it still works well. I then put some glitter over the top from the shade 86 my sparkling darling. This glitter shade is absolutely stunning as it has a little purple tint to it. It is definitely a buildable glitter so you can add as much or as little as you like.
So here is the finished look. I hope you like it and it can give you a little inspiration into your own festival makeup!
