Review | Pixi Glow Tonic Exfoliating Toner

After seeing review upon review raving about the Pixi Glow Tonic Exfoliating Toner, I thought it was only just to give it a go myself. It has been sold out numerous times on the website so I never got round to ordering it. Fortunately I saw a Pixi shop while I was shopping in London and popped in to pick up a bottle of this toner. At £18 it isn’t cheap, but as I have only heard positive reviews about it, I didn’t think I would have much to lose.

Pixi Glow Tonic Exfoliating Toner Review

Unlike other toners I have used before, this one is an exfoliating toner containing glycolic acid which helps break down dead skin cells. My skin has never been amazing. I have always suffered from acne and have lots of scars to show for it. After using this product every evening after cleansing, I have noticed that my skin has started clearing up- much to my amazement. The toner is also alcohol free which means you won’t get any horrible drying effects from in. In fact it does the complete opposite and actually leaves my skin feeling super soft and refreshed at the end of the day.

I have to admit that when I am using it, I cannot feel it exfoliating my skin at all but to be honest, that doesn’t matter because it still does the job. I have found that it really helped wipe away the last few traces of makeup which actually shocked me how much of it there was still left on my face. Over the past month and a bit of using it, I have definitely seen that my skin has more of a glow to it (and I’m not just saying that!). It has taken away the horrible dullness of my skin and brightened my complexion.

There is only one negative I have to point out about this toner. Although, it may not be the same for everyone… When I first used the product I was a bit taken back by just how strong the scent was. None of the reviews I have read talked much about the scent so I was quite surprised. It has a very, very strong floral scent which might not be to everyones taste. I have to admit that it has taken me a while to get used to as I do find it slightly overpowering. But I think that I would still continue to use this toner, even though I don’t like the scent, purely because the benefits are just so good.

Considering all the different factors, I would say that this is a product definitely worth trying. The price tag may put a few people off but I would recommend buying it once just to give it a go. The benefits take a little while to see, but it is so worth it in the long run. I also think that the bottle lasts quite a long time.
