Review | Hylamide Glow Radiance Booster Serum

Hylamide Radiance Glow Booster

I’m such a pale person. Like the palest. Doing gym classes regularly, where you are surrounded by mirrored walls, you tend to become a little self-conscious of the way you look (well I do anyway) and I soon came to realise that I was so pale I was starting to look a little transparent and ill… not a good look if I’m honest! I have a fair few fake tans, but there is one product in particular that I continually reach for when my skin needs a little glow; the Hylamide Glow Radiance Booster Serum

I originally came across this product after reading about it on a blog. I was sold by the fact that it could give you a natural looking glow, without the normal self-tan process. Admittedly, I was still a little sceptical but went ahead and bought myself a bottle while it was on offer. It is definitely safe to say that I am over the scepticism and will be buying myself another bottle as soon as this runs out!

This DHA free self-tanner is a one of a kind.It uses a special ingredient called Erythrulose, extracted from red berries. It reacts with the amino acids, to give you a golden, glowing tan. Unlike other self-tanners that use DHA, it builds up a very gradual tan that is much more natural and doesn’t streak.

Being so pale, any streaks I get from fake tan are quite obvious, so this streak-free product is amazing for me. It gives me such a natural glow, that I look like I have actually caught the sun. It is supposed to be a product that gradually builds up. Everyone comments on how it is “a product for the patient”, but with me being so pale, one use gives me a good glow. I have to be careful not to over-use it!

Hylamide Glow Radiance Booster

The Hylamide Glow Serum comes in a little glass bottle with a pipette, so you can squeeze a few drops onto your face and rub it in. The product is not at all drying on the skin, and actually when you start to rub it in it dries pretty quickly. You aren’t left with a greasy layer on the top of your skin like you are with some other fake tans.

One word of warning, this will tan your palms too, so remember to wash them after each use. I would also recommend being careful around your hairline, which is an area this product can build up a little too much. Every night when I cleanse I make sure to scrub a little around it to blend the tan. It also does give you the typical fake tan biscuity scent, but I am willing to look past that because it gives such good results.

Hylamide Glow Radiance Booster

All in all, this is one of my favourite glowy products. It gives me such a natural looking tan and is streak free. What more could you want?! I am definitely going to have a look at trying out more from the Hylamide range as they have some very targeted products. If you are interested in trying out this product, you can pick it up from Boots for £20.

Have you tried anything from Hylamide before?
