Wrap dresses are all the rage at the minute. I mean I can’t scroll through the top ten images in my insta feed without seeing one. And while I do love a good wrap dress, they are starting to all look a bit samey. So I thought I would switch the trend up with something a little different… a wrap top!
Day to Night with the wrap top
When it comes to any situation where I am buying new clothes, I always have to consider what I am going to style it with and how. This is often quite a tricky task as it can be hard to imagine the different outfit combos in your head while you are standing in a shop changing room. But this is why I love this white wrap top so much. As it is such a simple piece, it takes out all effort of deciding what to wear it with as it literally goes with everything. Like imagine it with the denim skirt in my last outfit post. Super cute!
What’s more, this wrap top is one of those classic examples of an item of clothing that can take you straight from day to night. So for example, if I wanted to go out-out in this outfit, all I would need to do is ditch the sandals for heels, pop on a bold lipstick and I’m basically good to go. Simplicity is key and something I am always keen to achieve with my outfits. But maybe that is just a roundabout way of saying I’m a little lazy… who knows!

No more wardrobe malfunctions
I swear to god there hasn’t been one wrap dress that I’ve tried on (apart from this one), that hasn’t left me completely and utterly open chested. I know I’m not a busty gal, but even if I was none of the dresses would have fitted me. However, coming across this wrap top has completely restored my faith in wrap styles. It is so well fitted that I never had to worry about any wardrobe malfunctions. It also has double poppers in place to ensure that it never bursts open. Phew!
I keep trying to come back to a “capsule wardrobe” and thinking about what I would include in it. Because of all the easy outfit prospects, I could create with this top, it would 100% be included. It is just the perfect all-rounder, for casual, date night, workwear… just everything really!
What do you think of the wrap top? Are you on board with the whole “wrap” trend?
