As much as I really don’t like the cold of Autumn and Winter months, one thing I do love are the colours. Those gorgeous Autumnal shades of burgundy and cooler Winter shades are just right up my street. It is nice to move onto these cooler shades after wearing bright shades throughout the summer.
Roxanne Campbell has a lovely range of nail polishes (which you will have seen my mention before in my Holiday Ready Nail Polish Shades post). After having used a couple of shades from her range before, it is safe to say that I have been very impressed with the formula. They give a high-shine finish and even without a top coat they last a good few days before any chipping.
The winter collection from her range of nail polishes is filled with deep burgundy shades and a cool toned grey. Basically my type of colours! So here are three of the shades from the winter collection and I have been loving them.
Expensive Taste* is a beautiful deep burgundy shade that comes out with a slight berry finish. It is just a really expensive looking shade as the name would suggest! It looks like a really classy colour, especially with its high-shine finish. I am wearing this shade at the moment (I thought it was fairly Halloween-y) and it looks so gorgeous. It needs about three coats until it becomes completely opaque.
Wine & Dine
Wine & Dine* again is another burgundy shade however it is slightly lighter more of its red compared to Expensive taste. It is also a slightly warmer than the other shade but it still gives you that really desirable burgundy/berry shade, which is perfect for this time of year. Again it does come out quite sheer so you do need a few coats of it to get a nice finish.
This shade is absolutely gorgeous. I love Stormy Weather* as it is a great alternative to white nail polish which might be a little too bright for Winter. But can you imagine how cute it would be if you got a bit creative and painted some little snowflakes on it?! I need to do some nail art with this shade as it is the perfect base shade.
What nail polish shades do you wear in Winter?
*I was kindly sent these nail polishes but all thoughts are 100% honest and all my own.
