This weekend has totally got me totally ready for the warmer weather. With just a hint of warmth and sunshine, I am most definitely wishing away winter and all the cold it brings with it. I have never been good with the cold anyway, so am desperately hoping that this good weather plays out for at least another week before we have to suffer with more rain.
I’ve never been a fan of dressing for winter and colder months. I find that I seem to live in jeans 24/7, usually followed by an oversized jumper. And it just gets so boring. I end up getting in a massive style rut with my wardrobe and feel totally uninspired by everything that I wear!
So when there is even just a hint of warmth on the horizon, it gets me excited for all the new outfits I can wear! It means I can finally start to think about packing away the bulky coats and scarves, and getting out the cute, little jackets from the back of my wardrobe.
Another thing I am super excited for is to not have to wear tights with every single outfit that isn’t jeans… I find tights so annoying, and sometimes they just don’t work with a particular skirt or dress. I think most outfits look so much better with a cute pair of boots, and tights just don’t do the outfit any justice. I just need the weather to get that little bit warmer before I can brave getting my legs out… oh and also the fake tan!
The worst thing was when shooting these photos it started snowing. Yes, it actually snowed while I stood there in a skirt, absolutely freezing. It is definitely safe to say that I am so over this weather! I am more than ready to get my spring wardrobe ready. This means all the florals are coming back out, alongside pretty pastels (like this gorgeous skirt).
