Review | The Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Butter

The Body Shop Camomile Cleansing ButterWhen you find a skincare product that works for you, you never, ever want to let it go. For me, it all came about after I decided to stop using the Garnier Micellar Water. I wanted a product that offered something a little deeper in terms of cleansing. I had heard some amazing things about the Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Butter, so I thought I would give it a go. I’m now halfway through my second tub and don’t see myself changing to any alternatives any time soon!

When it comes to thinking about anything negative of the Camomile Cleansing Butter, I can honestly say there is nothing. It is just an all-round amazing product that everyone should have in their skincare collection. With just a small scoop you can remove all traces of makeup – and I literally mean ALL makeup! Removing waterproof mascara with this cleansing butter is an absolute breeze. It just melts away! And this is with a really small amount of product on your fingertips. It is absolutely amazing!

Once I have finished massaging this into my skin and around my eyes to remove mascara, I just use a hot wet flannel to wipe it all off. My skin is left feeling so refreshed and really soft – like super soft. I then like to finish my routine with a swipe of Pixi Glow Tonic, which is another skincare fave of mine. Or if I am having one of those days where my skin is being a little problematic, I use the Lush Tea Tree Toning Water.

I must admit, I always get a little nervous to use cleansing butter as I am prone to having oily skin. So I always instantly assume that using a cleansing butter should be a no-go, but I am so glad I gave it a chance. If anything, it has massively helped reduce my oily skin as my face just feels so clean after using it!

I should also add that a tub lasts me about three months. When I first picked it up, I was like this is really small and definitely won’t last me that long. But as you only need such a tiny amount with each application, the tub will last you absolutely ages. So spending £10 on a cleansing butter I only need to buy every few months seems like a winner to me!

Have you ever tried the Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Butter? What did you think of it?
