When my bedside table isn’t covered with glasses of water (something we are all guilty of), it can actually look quite nice, even if I do say so myself! I have a fair few trinket-y bits and bobs, and some absolute beauty essentials that I like to keep close for my evening skincare routine.
I’m not going to go through what is in the actual drawers of my bedside table, as basically, these drawers are what is known as “junk drawers”. Anything I can’t find a place for gets shoved in them and forgotten about. There is no organisation or structure to them… So I’m just going to gloss over them for the sake of this blog post, as the images make it look like I’m super tidy – an angel emoji would sit here nicely!
My Funky Bedside Table Lamp
So onto what is actually on my bedside table… The newest and most fabulous addition is this absolutely incredible Flamingo Lamp* from IWOOT. Like, just look at – it is so funky! Flamingos are most definitely the new unicorns, and I am totally here for it.
The gas-filled glass neon lamp glows a really bright pink, which creates a nice tone of lighting alongside my favourite Flamingo candle in Raspberry & Salted Caramel (FYI – it smells amazing!).
What’s more, this lamp is an absolute steal at just £25.99 down from £50. So if you are looking for something a little different to jazz up your home, this is it! Just imagine it with a palm print behind it – absolutely lush! I’ve always been a huge fan of quirky homeware pieces as they can be a great way of adding some personality into your home.
I did previously have my Lumie Light on my bedside table, but I have just placed it on my dressing table instead (next to my bedside table). I honestly can’t live without this as my alarm clock. The natural lighting is so much nicer to slowly wake up to, rather than having a blaring alarm.
The beautiful trinket dish in the shape of a feather is so useful for storing my earrings, rings and necklaces at night. Plus it also makes for a great blog photography prop!
Also propped up on my bedside table, is my favourite print which I was given by my friend Julia. The ‘Eat, Sleep, Blog, Repeat’ seems quite relevant! I know that everything seems a bit of a mishmash, but I think it all goes together quite well as a collection of some of my favourite things!
My Bedside Beauty Essentials
So there are a few products I have on my bedside table that I use every night without fail. First up is the Modern Apothecary Body Cream*, which I have mentioned in a few previous posts. I like to use this each night on my upper arms, as my skin seems to be quite dry there. This also doubles up as a hand cream, so I use it for that purpose too. This tub has also lasted me ages – I have had in since mid-December and it is still going strong!
I also like to keep a cuticle oil, which you would have seen in my 5 Beauty Essentials post. It is a great habit to get into applying each night as it will keep your nails strong and helps them grow quickly.
Finally, I have to keep my Deep Sleep Pillow Spray closeby as it is an absolute lifesaver when you need a good night’s sleep. I always have such a deep, peaceful sleep when I use this stuff – and it has the nicest lavender scent!
What do you keep on your bedside table?
