This is a collaborative post, however all thoughts are my own.
If you’re planning on going for a trip around the US, you will absolutely want to know where the best places are to go as a tourist. Coming from outside the US, it can be a little bit of a challenge to really get your head around where to visit first, as there are just so many amazing places to go see! I always like to make sure that I research all the possible places I want to visit and decide on what I want to prioritise. Having a little schedule in place is particularly helpful, but be sure to keep it slightly flexible as plans always change.
Here are a few of some of the places I, in particular, would love to visit if I were ever to plan a trip over to the US – which hopefully won’t be in the too distant future!
Obviously enough, New York is always going to be one of the very top places that you will want to see if you are visiting the US. It has been top of my travel list for so long now, so I am absolutely desperate to go visit!
It is for many people the cultural capital of the US and is one of those places which you just have to see at some point in your life. It literally has something for everyone with loads of shopping opportunities, funky bars and just a variety of cool places to visit as a tourist. It is also known for having some of the best hotels anywhere in the world, so you can be sure that you will be very well looked after indeed… When’s the next flight out?!
One of the many reasons people go to the US for their holiday is that they want to try out the amazing beaches (who doesn’t love the beach?!), and if that is your kind of thing then Miami is absolutely the place to go.
If you do intend to go to Miami, make sure that you know how to make the most of it – so get planning! Miami has that super luxe feel to it so of course, I would, and you should too, consider taking a yacht rental Miami trip, as it is one of the best ways to see the sights. I mean, can you imagine seeing all there is to see in Miami while cruising on a luxury yacht?!
It is also worth noting that while it is likely to be very sunny all year round, you can also expect a lot of rain so, unfortunately, that is something you will have to be prepared for. But all in all, it looks like an absolutely stunning place that I would most definitely love to visit myself.
There are so many cities you might have on your travel list for the US, but Seattle has such a rich history and great cultural life that you can be sure you will get a lot out of even just a short stay there. You can see the world-famous Space Needle, and then unwind afterwards at an improv bar or listen to some of the city’s great music. It is also the city where Starbucks was founded, so you can be sure that during your stay you will stumble across some absolute gems of coffee shops!
Have you been to the US before? Would love to know where your favourite places are to visit!
