I was kindly gifted these palettes, but all thoughts are my own. This post also contains affiliate links.
I don’t think you can ever have enough eyeshadow palettes in your makeup collection, so I obviously warmly welcomed these two beauts into mine!
Filled with shimmer galore, the stunning palettes are a must-have addition to any collection – and I don’t say that lightly! They have 12 lovely eyeshadows in each, which have the most buttery texture. As soon as I went to swatch them, I couldn’t quite grasp how a powder eyeshadow could feel so smooth!
Each shade is totally pigmented and has very little fallout (bar the lighter shades, which do have a little). This is something I always look out for in an eyeshadow palette, as there is nothing more annoying! AND they blend out so easily. Surely getting the balance of super pigmented shades, while being blendable is super hard, but Pixi
Ok, so this palette is something else! Honestly, I don’t think I have ever been quite so in love with a palette as much as I have with this one. Each and every shade in it is right up my street.
Especially as I am all about the natural shades – my everyday makeup is always quite natural, so one sweep wonders are a winner for me.
As I am writing this I literally cannot take my eyes of the gorgeousness that is this palette. There are beautiful silky matte tones and a mix of shimmered to the max shades. Could it get more perfect?!
So obviously it is quite hard for me to pick out favourites as I love them all. But if I am going for one shade wonders, it would have to be Metallic Rose (shimmer) or Metal Mauve (glitter). Both shades are almost so smooth in texture and give off the most gorgeous, rich metallic tones. I can see these two hitting pan very quickly.
This palette is slightly more warm toned compared to ‘Natural Beauty’. And each of the shades inside are SO metallic – I could not be more happy! What’s more, the range of shades included could be used for both day and night, especially if you want to bring a little metallic shimmer to your everyday look.
With a range of both neutral shades and more dark, warm toned reds, this palette has all the shimmer shades you could ever need in your makeup collection. This, to me, is like the ultimate palette of wearable shimmer eyeshadows. Like you will definitely end up wearing all of these shades because the range is perfect.
Rather than these being worn individually, I think this palette works best combining the shades. So for a real shimmer-tastic metallic look, I love the combination of Vintage Gold all over the lid, with Antique Bronze in the crease. It has an almost 3D effect, which looks so beautiful with a dusty rose shade lipstick.
The final verdict
So if you haven’t already guessed, I am a firm lover of these palettes. Quite honestly, there is nothing I would add/change/improve on either of them. The texture is spot on and the pigmentation is awesome. Plus for £24 each, I think they are priced well for such high-quality eyeshadows.
