Last week I went to Dubai for five days, but unfortunately for me there was no sun. In fact, most of the time it was either overcast or rainy, which was obviously super disappointing as I was hoping to get some heat! So having come back with not even the slightest of glow, I decided I needed to fake it with the Bondi Sands Self Tanning 1 Hour Express fake tan*… So here are my thoughts:

Scent
So the fake tan itself, rather than having a biscuity scent instead has a coconut fragrance, which I absolutely love! Even after you have applied it, you still don’t get left smelling biscuity, you just have a very subtle coconut scent left on your skin. This for me is always going to be something I look for in a fake tan as I really hate the classic biscuit scent…
Formula

This one is a mousse formula, which to be honest I much prefer as way of application for fake tans. I find it so much easier to blend meaning that you don’t get left which lots of streaks – something I find nearly impossible with fake tans, but not this one! I have been left with a completely even tan, that I am actually very impressed with having applied it myself…
Colour
For light to medium tan you leave this on for 30 minutes, dark tan is 1 hour and the darkest shade is 2-3 hours. I am very pale but wanted to test this to see how developed my tan would get, so I left it for about 3 hours. It still appeared fairly light though, to be honest. But saying that, I actually really do like the colour that developed, so I am happy with it!
Lasting Power
I have this issue with fake tans that the backs of my knees and inner elbows develop white patches where the skin has rubbed. But with this one I haven’t had any problems with it. To be fair I have been exfoliating and moisturising regularly to try and prevent it, but whatever it is, I am so impressed with the tan!
Having been left really impressed with the scent and how streak free this fake tan is, I can definitely see myself buying another bottle!
