The most frustrating thing about writing this post is that when I took these photos, it was an absolutely gorgeous day outside. The sun was shining and it was HOT. But right now, I am sat curled up in bed, with the rain pouring down outside… Why you like this England?! It is supposed to be summer!
So I’m sat here writing about my summer style essentials, while the weather outside is gross. Let’s hope it gets better… Imagine the weather outside is great right now, just for the purpose of this blog post.
When I think of summer style accessories, tan always comes to mind. Tan bags and sandals are so key in my summer wardrobe that I feel like no look is complete without them. It is just such an easy shade to style and looks so good with denim.
I have been absolutely obsessed with these tan sandals* from Fashion World, since they arrived. They are not only super comfortable but also so versatile. Finding any pair of shoes that don’t give me blisters is an absolute mission, so these have been a godsend. Plus they go with just about every outfit so I am definitely onto a winner with these.
Paired with one of my favourite bags ever, the Fiorelli Mia Grab bag*, it is a match made in heaven. The colour of both the sandals and the bag match perfectly so well. I have to admit, I also have the old version of this bag which I wore so much it is now getting a little bit tatty. So the new version is a very welcome addition to my wardrobe. It is just so spacious with it’s many pockets, making it the perfect bag to carry around anything and everything - hello bloggers who need a bag big enough to carry around a camera but not too big that it fits the entire kitchen sink.
Finally, in an effort to look after my skin more, something I think we should all try and do especially in the summer, I am trying to ensure I wear some form of SPF every day. So on days when I am not wearing my beloved itcosmetics CC cream, I am slapping on some of the Pixi Sun Mist*, with SPF30. Not quite a ‘style essential’ but a summer essential all the same. It is 100% non-greasy upon application and can be easily applied under makeup as it sinks into the skin so easily. Definitely, one of the best face SPFs I have come across in a while.
