I have really been getting in to photography recently. I don’t
know if you can see a difference in my blog photography, but I feel like it has
massively improved after I started actually enjoying taking good photos. This
has now inspired me to invest in some new bits and pieces as I feel like
photography has become more of a hobby!
When it comes to cameras, I must admit I
am not an expert! However I do know the difference between bridge
cameras and DSLR’s. If
you are looking to take good quality images for your blog, but don’t want to
hold a huge monster of a camera then a bridge camera is probably better as they
are slightly smaller. They are also a good choice for those who don’t have a
clue about lenses (like me), as you can’t change them. Therefore I would
recommend a bridge camera for events as it will have all the settings you need
to take quality photographs.
Below I have created a wish list of all
the camera accessories I would love to get my hands on to indulge in my
newfound hobby. Please bear in mind that you don’t need all of these to take
good blog photos. I just like taking the time to photograph new things, as well
as images for my blog.
A huge memory
card is always a must! I
take so many pictures that I really need to have a big memory card as I never
take the pictures off it… Along with this is a spare battery. It is the most
frustrating thing when you set up a good blog picture and then your camera
dies. It is just too painful to comprehend! I definitely need to get a spare
battery for when this happens. Another thing I am really in need of is a camera
remote. For all the times when I have had to put the camera on self-timer
to take outfit posts… Life would be made so much easier with a remote
control! A decent tripod would also help with this. The one I currently have
has legs that randomly decide to shrink as I go to take a photo. Not good.
Lighting is also another thing I am going to look in to getting for the future.
With the lighter evenings it is not actually something I really need right now
but I sure it will be very useful for winter. I hate it when my photos come out
with that horrible yellow tinge. To store all of these bits in, I would invest
in one of these decent padded
camera cases. You can be reassured that your camera and small
accessories will all be kept safe in here!
Finally, as you can probably see I have
added a lens onto my wish list. I know that bridge cameras cannot actually use
different lenses however, for those of you who do have DLSR’s, a macro lens
would be super useful. I always find with my current camera that I cannot get
close enough to the products I am trying to photograph while keeping them in
focus.
What is on your camera wish list?
